What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?

Think of paint protection film (PPF) like a screen protector for your vehicle, but better. Also known as a clear bra, not only does paint protection film protect, it heals. Light scratch on the film? No problem. The PPF heals with hot water, a heat gun – or simply sitting outside in the sun with temperatures above 85F+. Leaving your beautiful glossy finish always looking perfect and defect free. 

Why is it important?

Paint protection film does what some of our other offerings (like ceramic coating) can’t do. It’s the best protection available for protecting your vehicle’s paint. We most commonly do installs on the front of the vehicle to eliminate potential damage from rock chips and debris on the roadways.

How does it work?

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a high performance, self-adhesive, nano glass ceramic top-coated thermal polyurethane film to protect against roadway debris, parking-lot nicks, scratches, oils, bug acids, bird droppings, harmful UV rays that fade car paint, and many other environmental elements that may damage your vehicle’s paint.

The top coat consists of special elastomeric polymers that allow scratches to “heal” with heat. Because of the ultra-clear high performance acrylic adhesive, it can be applied to a broad range of surfaces including (some) plastics and chrome.
